In July 2015 I became ill and had to end my contract at work. Each month I contact the representative and was told even by managers they weren't sure what i needed to do to file claim.
I made the payments as a struggle each month until I contacted and asked to speak to manager again. At which time i was fax the necessary paperwork and promptly completed. I waited with no response but kept being harassed with calls and notes on my door. Finally I was contacted by the supervisor at the Value City location and told additional information was needed.
I requested a conference call with the claims department and was told information for my previous contract was needed which i faxed immediately. I aqain received any correspondence. I have been waiting and contacting the store every week and told they would check into it. I turned the information over to the Attorney Generals office and they are assisting me with the matter, but in the interim they are reflecting my account as past due and negatively affecting my credit.
In addition they have come to my apartment several times which is secured and left notes on my mailbox where my neighs could see them. On friday they came to my door banging and attempting to hit my door with their shoulders to open my door. My lower lock on my door was broken but thank God I had a top lock and alarm once they realized they damaged my door they ran. I called their office and was told that was the collections department because i was past due.
To date no one can tell me anything related to claim and i have received no letters or calls from claims department. This company is horrible and I am providing the break in information to the police and pursuing legally
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
