Acceptance Now - Scammed
I went to Rooms 2 Go found furniture , applied for credit was told approved, which indicated I was approved for a rooms 2 go credit card, I was happy because I had gone through a bankruptcy and it had taken me 6 years to rebuild my credit .
Well I was ushered to a customer service desk the girl had paperwork I gave them my down payment, not once was I told this was a rent a center/ RAC agreement for acceptance now , I found out after the couch I bought a button fell off the pillow within the first month and I called about replacement. i had also received a rooms to go credit card by then with a substantial limit , When I realized what happened I asked if it could be transferred to my rooms 2 go credit card and was told no ,that I would have to return in the furniture and there was no guarantee I could get the same furniture if I did that..
So I have stuck it out for 2 years and paid every month on time, but when I was hit with hurricane Harvey and my finances went south with the cost of repairs on my home and i had fraud on my bank card then my account was hacked had to close it out the bank believes someone got my info from fema and used it.
I was late by one day and they were calling me harassing me at work called my friend in Rhode island, I am still trying to catch up on everything but like clockwork 1 day after pmt due the start up. All I have to say if you shop at Rooms 2 Go be careful don't get succored into a deal with RAC or Acceptance now
