I cannot say anything good about this place! DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THEM ! THEY ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS!

a) WONT LET YOU MAKE LARGER PAYMENTS..in what universe, has ANY COMPANY ever NOT allowed its customers to make larger payments than the amount due?!?!? I wanted the 90 days same as cash option to pay off my bed from rooms 2 go. they wanted me to pay like $125 a month, but that wasn't going to be enough to pay it off in 90 days, but they wouldn't allow me to pay more! the customer service reps gave me some BS about how people like to pay off large amounts and then not pay off the rest or some ***....

b) the customer service reps at the store left out key information. insurance, extra coverage, and fees, etc were not disclosed to me during my initial meeting. They stated these were already included in the entire price, and that was it. There was no way to opt out or even get more information. hidden fees out the ying yang.

c) they stated that they report to my credit report when i make payments, etc (ie: it wouldn't hurt your report, but they report it to help you). I just hung up with them because I made my last payment with them over a month ago, and my credit report IS STILL LOW due to the fact that my loan with them (over $1140) is still listed on my credit report as OPEN. They told me that they update every other Sunday, well it's been over 2 sundays now and it's still on there, hurting my report, even though it's been paid off over a month ago. I AM HIGHLY PISSED OFF!!!

save yourself time and MONEY and aggravation. NEVER EVER EVER go through these people! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF !! not to mention, since i was "a good customer" (ie : I made my payments and did everything they asked), they keep trying to call me to come back to their store (this was rooms to go in North Charleston, SC) to get even MORE business from me! UHH NO!!!!

Reason of review: liars/scam.

Monetary Loss: $375.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Acceptance Now Cons: Being lied to to entice me to make a purchase, Credit reporting, Being misled lied too.

For starters, Acceptance now does not now nor has it ever promised to only report positively to your credit report. If they are reporting at all, your payment behavior is reported as you go weather you are a consistently current customer or you miss every due date.

Secondly, the design of the program is to report regular payments. They don't allow over payment because 9/10 if you are using the program it's because you do not have sufficient credit to apply for traditional financing. The plan is set in place so that way you are on a structured pay schedule to help you build and establish credit. You are able to pay off at any point in time, just can't drop an extra hundred dollars here and there because you happen to have some cash free.

Finally- as to the "extra" things that are in your payment- each of these sections are broken down and gone over when you sign.

That is company policy. If you aren't satisfied with the cost or the program but you willingly chose to sign anyway you have no one to blame but youself.


never in my life heard of a company or credit agency that will not allow a consumer to "drop an extra hundred dollars here and there because you happen to have some cash free" I have a capital one credit card I use for gas and coffee only. I spend about 400 a month the min payment usually falls around 20 dollars but on the very next pay period I pay it off to avoid interest and fees and by doing this I have built solid credit over the years.

I have some friends that use companies like these not because they don't have sufficient credit to apply for traditional financing but because companies like these usually don't report to the credit agencies and they tend to be more flexible so if you miss a payment 9/10 your credit is not penalized but from the reviews I see this company reports to credit.

I was on value city website and was looking at their payment options and this was one of them I just got curios. if I had troubled credit I would avoid these people at all costs based off what I read today.
