If you are going to shop at Bob's furniture the finance company they use is called acceptance Now, if you can't pay off in 4 months, my advice is shop somewhere else...

When my furniture was delivered the chair and ottoman was not in delivery.they said it got damages at the warehouse. so I said I don't want it any more because I didn't want wait another month.they said no problem we will rewrite your contract..As I started making my payment, I noticed the amount, come to find out the ottoman and chair was still included in my payment the cost was $299 plus tax.I wanted my contract redid they told me they couldn't do that.why am I paying for something I Don't have?

Complaint of manager

I am highly upset with the service I have received from Zack at the Value City Howe ave Akron Ohio location. I was told on 10/23 when I called in because a payment was taken out of my account that shouldnt have been that I should have called to do the buy out program. So I did that over the phone then and that I would be getting a check within 2-3 weeks. It is now 3 weeks and no check has been sent or received. I called customer service and they stated that there was no information that a refund was processed. I ended up calling to speak with Zack and he stated that he doesnt know if he did it correctly or if the check has went through and that he would have to see how to send out a check and then call me back to reissue the check out and it can take 2-3 weeks. This is unacceptable for a manager to say that he doesnt know if he did it correctly. This is someones money that he is dealing with and apparently doesnt know how to deal with it properly. He needs to be retrained especially on how to be manager. When I asked for his district managers number he said he didnt have a number he could give me. Very unprofessional!!!!!!

Too much money for such little furniture.

me. My furniture balance was 1,300.00 back on October 2019. So I didn't pay within the 120 days same as cash. I had 1 month left. I called in March to get a balance it we around 1,000 or so. Now that was suppose to be the interest that I didn't pay during the 120 days. Now it's a couple days before November 2020. With me paying 204.00 monthly, I have already payed for this furniture twice and paid the interest. They are now charging interest on the interest. I called on September 17, 2020 got a balance of 786.59. On Oct. 7, 2020 Antonio said balance was 745.82. Oct.29 balance 793.00 so something is seriously wrong when my monthly payments are still 204.00. Acceptance now is milking people out of money. I got a printout that my bill balance is 793.00 as of now I will total my payments until I pay that amount and I will pull the plug. The furniture shed it's color any way. God help me.b

Unauthorized deduction

With the death of my father I called to Get a payment extension. In a year I have never had a late or incomplete payment. 48 hrs BEFORE payment due I used the call back feature. After 23 min I was assured of the 2 week extension. On my payment date the $ came out despite my granted extension. Not only did this place my bank account in the negative, it left me penniless to travel to my dad's funeral. On 9-16 I phoned and the rep said she would place a high priority on my supervisor call back and that they would honor the agreement made on the 14th. and gave me a ticket number. On the 17th no call, so I called the number back. This lady to ya talked over me, would not let me finish a sentence but told me I should have called my store. THE STORE WAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND NUMBER DISCONNECTED. The next closest store didn't return my calls. She also said that nobody has authorization to give extensions. The RUDE lady then told me I would get a call in 48 -72 hrs and gave me another ticket number for the escalation. She didn't even let me give her the other ticket number. She just hung up on me. My dad's funeral is Saturday and at this point I have an overdrawn account, can't get to the funeral or even buy a bottle of water because THREE people gave 3 DIFFERENT answers and I am left in an emotional and financial shambles. I can't even find a number to talk to someone at corporate. By the way, I have audio recordings of every call along with dates, time and length of call.

I have made a purchase through acceptance now and they tell you from the beginning that if you pay it off in 3 or 6 months that you won't b charged any interest( well not much). Its when you don't pay it off thatthere is a problem. If I couldn't pay it off, I wouldn't get it bc thats too damn much $$$. It should be against the law. They are taking advantage of people and their needs. I should've just Wentworth value city bc I was pre-approved . But bc they run a hard inquiry on my credit, I choose the easy way outwit acceptance now. Which I later found outs nothing but rent -a- center..

Would not accept 120 payment late by 1 day

I made all payments on time my 120 was coming up i called to ask for 0ne day extension. They said noway. The 120 payment was 563.00 one day late 1000 dollars total lease 3000 for a love seat .

Scamming

I've already paid double for a loveseat and a recliner. My payments started November 2019 at 204.92 monthly. I was one month less of the 120 days "same as cash". Then you start to pay the interest that wasn't paid. Now it's a couple days before November 2020. My furniture balance was 1300. I've paid that and the interest. My balance now is 793.00. I'm going to pay that but when I do I will not pay anymore. Bad furniture also, the color fades off on clothes especially if you have on white you can see a dingy look. Bad company. I will never refer anyone to them. I am two years from being 70 years old. Scrap like this I don't need.

I was sent an email stating that my balance was almost paid off, didnt I want to open a new account and get more. I clicked on the link in the email, applied for more credit and was denied. I went to the nearest furniture store where they offer Acceptance now. They ran my information and she said I was denied. She said I have good payment history, she wasnt sure why I was denied, that it didnt make any sense. She said she would send to corporate. Just wondering why I was denied with good payment t history with them.
